NOTICE: Public Comments Sought for Virginia Sea Grant Review
Virginia Sea Grant will be reviewed on May 19-22, 2025 by a team convened by the National Sea Grant College Program. The review will consider all aspects of VASG’s programs including management and organization, performance, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative activities, including those with various offices of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. This notice invites you to participate in our review by emailing your comments about VASG to oar.sg-feedback@noaa.gov. Kindly send your comments at your earliest convenience — the comment period will end on May 12, 2025. Please put “Virginia Sea Grant site review” in the subject line.

Supporting Seafood
Virginia is the third-largest producer of seafood in the U.S. Virginia Sea Grant supports the seafood industry through fisheries research, product development, aquaculture, and food safety.

TOGETHER FOR VIRGINIA
A Seven-university partnership
Imagine combining the resources of Virginia’s top institutions and using them to find innovative solutions to marine and coastal challenges faced by the Commonwealth. Together we work to improve coastal ecosystems, coastal communities, and working waterfronts by financially supporting researchers, graduate fellows, extension members, and interns. Alongside these universities and a variety of other partners, we act as an “honest broker” to spread useful, unbiased, and science-based knowledge to a wide variety of audiences and constituents.
